What Is GreenGeeks Scalable Hosting?

GreenGeeks Scalable Hosting is a feature built into our hosting platform in January of 2017. Shared and Reseller accounts purchased prior to January 2017 were migrated to our new platform.

The scalable hosting feature will allow customers who have traditionally been required to upgrade to a VPS to add more computing resources to their existing hosting account, eliminating the need to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server.

How Does It Work?

The scalable hosting feature allows customers to purchase additional resources such as physical memory, disk I/O, etc. as required on a month-to-month basis. Additionally, static resources such as CPU are available for upgrade by transitioning to a larger package as needed. Most of these upgrades can be done with a phone call or ticket, and with zero downtime for your website.

How Much Does It Cost?

The following resources can be scaled up or down as required, and all upgrades are billed on a month-to-month basis separate from your core hosting services.

Scalable ResourceMonthly Cost
Memory$2.50 per 256MB

How Do I Upgrade?
